Sanitary Disposal
We at Hygieco provide a Sanitary Waste Disposal Service that is based on customer satisfaction. We work with you to provide a service that meets specifically with your requirements, should it be the frequency of visits or specific 'Designer' units, including “Chrome or Platinum effect" and “Stainless Steel” bins. Sanitary Disposal is a key requirement for your company to comply with your ‘Duty of Care’ Regulation 21 of the Approved Code of Practice, in the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992, advises that: "in the case of water closets used by women, suitable means should be provided for the disposal of sanitary dressings".
This Regulation is further supported by the Water Industries Act 1991, which states that no items should be flushed that could cause a blockage within the sewer or drain.
As a waste producer, you need to ensure that your chosen contractor for Sanitary Waste Disposal are licenced waste carriers. Hygieco will provide you with a copy of all their licences including their Waste Carriers Licence.
We pride ourselves on the high level of service we supply our customers, as we know the services we provide reflects on the perception of your business. Our professional Service Team wear Hygieco Uniforms, carry photographic Identifciation and will arrive at your premises in clearly liveried Hygieco Vans. Our Feminine Hygiene and Washroom Services are carried out with the utmost discretion, with our Operatives using specially designed carriers.
On each visit when the service is complete we will ask for you to sign and date a 2-part self carbonating Service Sheet. A copy of which is left for your records, the other will be retained by the Service Operative.
